Winter Pond

This monochromatic sepia brown (20 X 16) Oil painting with palette knife on canvas board was my very first painting! As a novice,  unsure of my ability, I decided to  camouflage out a tiny fisherman carrying his pole & overturned boat in the background. My husband convinced me to keep this “Winter Pond” landscape and many years later it was sold for over $1,500 after my first Fine Art show! The beauty of the freshly fallen snow over the stark, barren woods, illustrates the promise of forgiveness described in Isaiah 1:8, “...though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
