Instead of focusing on our differences, we should celebrate them, since others have qualities, abilities & wisdom that we may lack. To eradicate the divisiveness, I wanted to paint a variety of flowers with all different shapes & wild colors to show that "Beauty Blossoms Together". Whereas "blossoms" can be a noun in the floral artwork's name; it's really a verb, to demonstrate that we can multiply our beauty & success when we work together as a team!
After hurricane Harvey, along with the reservoir mostly destroyed our daughter's family home with (4.5' of) floodwater, I promised to paint a bright, contemporary floral for their remodeled home. Because they live so far from us & we may only see them 1 or maybe 2 times a year, I wasn't sure when & how I'd deliver it. Wanting to create a more lucid style of impressionism, & knowing that two her favorite & decorating colors were navy & aubergine, I included those in "Beauty Blossoms Together". So, we actually surprised her on her 40th Birthday, by showing up with the artwork & singing Happy Birthday from the Living room balcony, when she came home from work! There was lots of excitement & joy, that the G-Kids chimed in on! (Did I mention that it is a 36" X 48" canvas that I carried on the plane in a tube, then attached it on the stretcher bars later?) Also, their family & friends, who came over for a Taco Food truck birthday party are an incredibly beautiful blend of ethnicities. Since they loved my artwork & it's message of inclusion, many took their picture in front of this special painting! These Scriptures, (Gen. 1:26, Rom. 12:3-6 & Ephesians 4:11-13,16), explain that we were all uniquely created by God for our unique purpose to help each other mature.
